We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, evolution, and operation of a global enterprise network architecture for a multinational insurance organization. Drive innovation in network services by aligning infrastructure strategy with business goals, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and remote environments.

The primary objective of the Senior Network Engineer role is to design, implement, and support the end-to-end Azure IaaS network infrastructure for the Lift & Shift migration of legacy monolithic .NET Framework/IIS/SQL Server applications and fat client systems from on-premises co-location (LD9) to Microsoft Azure, while ensuring seamless connectivity, robust security, and high availability.

Major responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable core, distribution, and access networks supporting global data centers, cloud platforms, VoIP, video conferencing, and wireless systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and service outages with minimal disruption
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for physical, logical, and conceptual network topologies across all environments
  • Architect and optimize enterprise wireless infrastructure using Cisco WLC, LWAPs, and FlexConnect models
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate firewall policies, VPN configurations, and ZTNA principles into network design
  • Evaluate and select network hardware, software, and vendors based on performance, cost, and future-readiness
  • Manage multi-cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, Oracle) and ensure seamless inter-cloud communication with SD-WAN and MPLS backbones
  • Implement and tune routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) across campus, data center, and WAN domains
  • Apply QoS policies to prioritize critical traffic (voice, video, transactional systems) across diverse network segments
  • Leverage automation (Ansible, Python) to streamline configuration, monitoring, and remediation tasks
  • Analyze network telemetry (Splunk, SolarWinds, LiveAction) and packet captures (Wireshark, tcpdump) to proactively identify risks
  • Partner with development and DevOps teams to enable network requirements for CI/CD pipelines and microservices
  • Contribute to 24/7 on-call rotation and support occasional international travel for deployment or crisis response
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across engineering, operations, and business units.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years in a senior network engineering role within an enterprise environment of comparable scale and complexity to AmTrust
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Cisco IOS/NX-OS platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ASR/ISR), including vPC, stacking, and high-availability configurations
  • Proven proficiency in advanced routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), data center architectures (VxLAN, OTV, VDC), and enterprise LAN/MAN designs
  • Experience deploying and managing SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, VMware Velocloud, Fortinet, etc.)
  • Familiarity with enterprise wireless technologies (Cisco WLC, Aruba, Extreme) and site survey tools (Ekahau)
  • Working knowledge of F5 BIG-IP or equivalent load balancers
  • Comfort with network analysis tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, NetFlow, and SNMP-based monitoring platforms
  • Understanding of QoS frameworks: policy-maps, traffic classification, queuing, and congestion management
  • Strong communication skills: ability to translate technical concepts into business value, influence stakeholders, and document clearly.

Preferred skills:

  • CCNP or CCIE certification; experience with Arista, Palo Alto, or Palo Alto Prisma Access
  • Automation experience using Python or Ansible for network provisioning and orchestration
  • Direct exposure to public cloud networking (VPCs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateways).
