October 27, 2022 – Symfa, a custom software engineering provider, will attend the annual Web Summit in Lisbon on November 1-4, 2022. The event is expected to bring together 70,000+ participants, among which are such unicorn companies as Binance, Revolut, Starling Bank, and many more big names of the tech world. At a time of global uncertainty founders and CEOs of technology companies, fast-growing startups, policymakers and heads of state will share their thoughts, ideas and experience to predetermine the further development vector.

Stan Skavronsky, Symfa Sales Executive, will participate in the world’s largest tech conference with the aims to present our renewed brand, figure out the future of BNPL, super-apps and embedded finance, and find new challenges for our engineering team, mainly in the InsurTech and FinTech fields.

“In the current environment the market is shrinking, but some startups are still receiving funding. In a period of recession, companies practice a more meticulous approach when assembling a team, which means new people in the leadership, and an opportunity to restart their existing projects with a more efficient partner, such as Symfa.” says Mr. Skavronsky.

About Web Summit

First held in 2009 in Dublin, the web summit was a 150-person conference, representing a mix of bloggers, journalists, and technologists. The number of participants increased from year to year, and the small meeting has grown into “one of the world’s biggest and best conferences” according to Reuters. In 2016 the European Web Summit moved permanently to Lisbon, while the organizer holds the events in different corners of the world: Web Summit Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Collision in Toronto, and RISE in Hong Kong.
