Our client is a well-established US-based HoReCa company focused on providing healthy lifestyle and dieting at scale.

The client was looking to bring more agility to their internal processes while transforming meal planning, accounting, and reporting. To manage the renewed workflows, they needed an intuitive and power-efficient business automation app.

Symfa took the lead of the outsourced developers competition right away by coming up with a proven expertise in domain-specific task governance apps development. The team’s robust product vision helped the client make sure we were doers, not promisers.

Challenge

  • Originally, the client’s idea was to build a mobile Cordova-based app to be able to access multiple platforms’ functions. Yet, after analyzing the framework implementation rationale, the team suggested opting for a progressive web app logic.
  • The solution proved to be impeccably resource-efficient while handling the client’s tasks in full. First, it helped avoid excessive app store publishing and updating efforts. Second, it allowed running the PWA through any browser across tablets and mobile devices alike, basically making it behave in a natively mobile manner.
  • To facilitate printer communication and real-time reporting setting, Symfa integrated Google Cloud Print service.

Solution

The cloud-based progressive web app (PWA) features a well-thought-out logic, enabling guests to request room service and plan restaurant meals with detailed nutrition reports. Once a request gets processed all the way through a secure SQL database, it further syncs to a remote printer, allowing staff to add paper receipts and meal plans to their clients’ orders.
