Online literacy project to foster global literacy
A US-based educational software provider focused on building free of charge solutions to foster global literacy. Together with the client’s team, Symfa has been in charge of the frontend development of the new functionality and existing functionality performance optimization. The client also opted for our DevOps services to support the system throughout the system growth and well after the main development scope was finished.
Solution overview and functionality description
Designed for targeted instruction and audiovisual support automation within the ELA classroom, the solution is a progressive web app providing a multitude of in-built educational challenges throughout the daily lexile reading practice. The solution helps develop mental and verbal skills while aiding teachers and parents in assessing each child’s potential and progress.

Student performance dashboards give educators real-time access to the stats on individual students and overall class comprehension, reading behavior, and knowledge growth over time.

Technologies
DevOps support to ensure sleek system operation and growth
Initially using Bamboo for CI/CD in their on-prem data center and running the application on VMs, the client decided to move it to Docker and later on – to Kubernetes. Our DevOps lead helped the client with fitting the mature application into Kubernetes for greater performance and scalability. After this together we migrated the project to Azure DevOps as a more flexible and user-friendly alternative to Bamboo.
