Client and Business Goals

The client is a European company specialising in premium dietary supplements. To enable the digital transformation of the company, the client embarked on creating an online learning platform integrated with an online store.

Under the project, the Symfa team was to build an e-learning platform that gives the users access to pre-recorded video materials and allows them to take tests and complete courses. Besides, the platform was to enable selling pre-recorded online courses to students.


The project implied going through all the SDLC stages.

A simple and concise design of the e-Learning platform encompasses all the essential functionality to guarantee its reliable operation. 



Work done

  • Our team started from preparing thorough technical specifications and wireframes. 
  • We elaborated on the platform’s look and feel in line with the client’s corporate identity. 
  • Symfa developed and thoroughly tested all the components of the web service, including a responsive landing page.
  • To help the client’s staff properly manage the platform under operation and maintain it in the future, we provided the client with the required training and a full documentation package.


  • supporting two types of registered users: students and admin;
  • creating and managing content (uploading pre-recorded video; adding tests to modules and organizing them in courses);


  • monitoring students’ progress (viewing number of students on each course; viewing progress and test results of each student);
  • setting up different payment plans (subscriptions / pay per view).

The custom e-Learning platform was delivered by Symfa from scratch within the set timeframes. It is integrated with the Stripe payment gateway as a secure payment method, as well as the client’s website and online store. In case students experience problems with the video content, testing or have any payment issues, they can always consult the Help Desk integrated at the platform.
